DIGITAL ARCHIVE

The digital archive was created to make all the indexes of Baptisms, Marriages, Deaths, and civil status registers (16th to early 20th centuries) from the aggregated historical archives of the parishes of San Pietro, San Nicola, and San Lorenzo in Trapani, and the parish of San Lorenzo Levita in Xitta, remotely accessible over time. This includes analytical research tools prepared by the Diocesan archivists to help guide research.
MISSION
the Digital Archive,constantly being updated, has the purpose to meet the needs of researchers and those passionate about their family history, promoting access to documentation while simultaneously preserving and enhancing the historical heritage safeguarded by the Diocesan Archive of Trapani.
Contributions for online consultation will be used for the conservation and restoration of the registers and for the maintenance and updating of the digital archive.
ACCESS METHODS
After registering and choosing your preferred subscription method, you'll be able to consult the digital documentation using your credentials.
To further your research, if it's not possible to visit the archive in person, you can purchase research hour packages through the portal. These research hours will be carried out by the diocesan archivists. Alternatively, you can contact the archive for different payment methods. If you purchase research hours to be performed by the staff, you must send an email detailing the subject of your research and specifying the type of package purchased.
